2003 Champion!!!
Buccs DE Warren Sapp takes time to congratulate 2003 MFP Champ Mark McClure!

Another year bites the dust! 2003 is coming to a close and with it, this years MFP season. This year saw 13 of it's 22 players cash. It also saw Brendan Riley, who topped the final four last year, relegated to the bottom four. Though Riley's overall performance left a little (ok alot) to be desired, he did come on strong in the end winning two weeks and tied for 4th on the money list. Some say that's all that matters. Adam Agee, Jim Baibak and Jim Miller would agree! They all ranked in the top ten in picks this year, but don't have a dime to show for it. After making it interesting the the last couple of weeks, Mark McClure proved that he was not the Minnesota Vikings of the MFP. He was able to finish off John Wyeth and Rod Smith in week 17 and take the 2003 MFP title. See you all next year!

Great Scott!
Scott McClure had the "Edge" in week 16!

McClure wins week 16, Scott McClure that is. The older brother of overall leader Mark grabbed the week 16 cash with a fine 14 win performance. The fine week also pulls him into a potential chance at the top four. The younger McClure inreased his overall lead this week to two, and along with Wyeth and Smith, he appears poised to place in the top four. But don't bank on it, several others loom in the shadows within striking distance. It's go time folks, it's now or never. Either take a chance now, or just wait till next year!

Hot Rod!
Rod Smith has a "HOT" performance in week 15!

It was a good week for both Jim Demeniuk and "Hot Rod" Smith. They both recorded an MFP record 15 correct picks this week, a feat that in any other week would have guaranteed Demeniuk the weekly cash! Not this week though, because the MNF points rendered Smith the winner. Demeniuk had a pretty good week anyway, and MFP would like to congratulate Jim and his wife Tonya on the birth of their first son this week. Rod Smith's week may not compare to Jim's, but it was pretty good. For a guy who has been dancing around the top of this pool all season, he finally gets a taste of the cash. And he may not stop there! Rod vaulted himself within 3 picks of the overall lead with this weeks stellar performance. A down week for Mark McClure saw a 5 point cushion smashed to just 1 by our current second place player John Wyeth. With only 2 weeks left, things could get nasty! Good luck to all this week, and remember, there are games on Saturday the next two weeks!

Out of the Pitts!
Chad Pitts has been PRETTY good since week 11!

Chad Pitts is your winner for week 14, and though he is hypothetically out of the running for season cash, that hasn't deterred him the last four weeks! Since week 11, only overall leader Mark McClure has more correct picks (49) than Chad who has a very respectable 46. Jayson Schoffler has also averaged 46 over the 4 week span which explains why the three players above grabbed all the cash for the last four weeks. Time is running out and with only three weeks left it is time to make your move for the top! Good luck all!

reMARKable!
McClure wins his third week!

Three players woke up Monday morning with a shot at this weeks cash. For Kerry Loomis, a Titan victory meant easy money. For the Marks', Andersen and McClure, a Jets victory meant a points battle was brewing. McClure sealed his victory when the Jets came up with a big stop near the goal line, and later recoverd an onside kick attempt by the Titans. This week was the eighth time this season that the winner won by way of the MNF points. It is the third time Mark McClure has been involved, including the last two weeks which he won. With this win, Mark eclipses his total earnings from the past three seasons. We haven't figured out if thats a really good thing...or a really bad thing!
