It's been nearly a year since Brian "CK" Schaaf posted "I actually know football because I played football, not because I spend 8 hours a day in front of my computer taking turns between reading about who the third string QB in Denver is; and masturbating to pics of the Olsen Twins." Though it took 17 weeks, he did finally win a week, then proceeded to whine about not getting any face time. Sorry, CK, MFP officials thought we would honor yearly greatness rather than a one week wonder! With the 2005 season only two weeks away, we decided to dig up your old highschool football photo and pay homage to your football past. You are the great one Brian!

It's that time once again. Summer is in full effect (especially here in Michigan) and NFL training camps are in full effect!. This is the time of year when Detroit Lions fans are most optimistic! As Mark's Football Pool gets ready to enter it's 6th season, securing a spot in the pool has never been harder. Now, of course, veteran players ALWAYS have priority and if you were in the pool last year, even if it didn't really seem like it (Cambisi,) your slot is reserved until August 25th. This is when I need to have your entry fee. There has been interest in the pool during the offseason and there are several players "waiting in the wings" for a chance to dethrone Rob Restauri as current MFP champ. If you did not receive an email with my contact information, drop me a line. If you don't think your $ will reach me before the deadline, call me! If you know your not playing this year (your wife said no...) please let me know ASAP so I can fill your spot. This year there will be a slight change in the payout process. ALL money, including weekly and overall, will be paid out immediately following the last regular season week.
