Mirror Image!
Andersen and Wannstedt both get their first wins in week7

On Saturday, the Miami Dolphins had yet to win a game and Mark Andersen, who picked them every week was in the cellar. Enter week 7--enter the upsets. Just as no one thought the Dolphins could beat up on the Rams, no one (except himself) thought that Mark Andersen (who was the only one to select Miami this week and one of only two to select the Bengals) would be victorious. Andersen, who was the only player to reach double digits this week (11), was one of only two players who had yet to do so this year (the other is Anthony Gannuscio who also made a nice run this week!) Kudos go out to Mark Andersen for sticking with his team, oh and for finally passing the guy who hasn't made his picks in three weeks!

Aged to Perfection!
Joe Gibbs isn't the only AARP member with a win this weekend!

Both Jason Schoffler and the Buccs put forth a valiant effort Monday night, but it wasn't enough to beat the Rams...and Emma McClure. Emma won for the second time this year and extended her overall lead to three. MFP players shouldn't be upset by getting beat by a girl though, infact this old lady has been watching football longer than all of the MFP players! Heck, she not only remembers the Lions only playoff win in forty some years, she can remember Lions championships! (Yes, beleive it or not they were good...in the 50's.) This love of the Lions is the only thing that kept Emma from perfection in week 6. When asked about the win, Emma said "I may not pick the Lions every week from now on!" Now thats breaking news!

All In The Family!
Meathead admires Mark's week 5 NFL picks!

Boy the way the Lions played...Detroit fans want a parade...all the picks the McClure's made...those were the days! Through five weeks in this 2004 MFP season, the name McClure has been dominant. Scott in week 1, Emma in week 3, and now Mark! Mark and Emma also share a piece of the overall lead at this early stage of the season. When asked to comment about this weeks victory, Mark said "It was a good week, not my best, but good enough to beat these guys!" MFP officials would also like to take this opportunity to point out Mark Andersens dedication to the Dolphins, picking them against New England, winners of 18 straight errrrr---make that 19 straight, sorry Andersen!

A Sparty Wins!
Weekly Winner, Spartan Alum, Wolverine fan!

It wasn't a good weekend for the Michigan State Spartans. After losing yet another football game, now the administration is hammering down on pregame tailgating! But the school did get good news in the wee hours of Tuesday morning. This weeks MFP champ is none other than MSU alum Jim Baibak. Jim won this week via the weekly tie breaker, beating out Wil Lozano, Pat Mitchell and... hold your breath, yes Dan Collison who saw double digits for the first time this week. In other news, Rob Restauri joins Scott McClure on the overall leaderborad. One more MFP note, after all the ribbing that Lions homers have recieved over the last few years about sticking with their team when they are doing nothing but losing... memo to Andersen and Lozano...the Dolphins and the 49ers are NOT good!
